How can I check if I am eligible for the Shareholder Benefit Program?

From 2023, shareholders who hold at least one unit (100 shares) of our company's stock and are listed in the shareholders' register at the end of September are eligible for the program. Please review the information above, as there are two types of coupons depending on the number of shares held.

When will I receive information on how to use shareholder benefits?

When the "Notice of Convocation of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders" and "Voting Form" are mailed to shareholders in mid-November, we will also include "Instructions for Use" for shareholder benefits and "Coupons" for eligible shareholders.

Investigation into causes of undelivered mail
Investigating the causes of undelivered mail takes an average of one to 1.5 months. Some cases take more than 1.5 months. If the start date for the shareholder benefit coupon has passed during the investigation period, the coupon will expire and cannot be used regardless of the investigation results.

How do I find my shareholder number to access shareholder benefits?

Your shareholder number is shown in the upper left corner of the Voting Form. If you have not received your Voting Form, please contact the shareholder registry administrator listed in Q3.

Can non-shareholders use shareholder benefits?

Benefits can only be used by the shareholder. The transfer of shareholder benefit rights to anyone other than the shareholder is prohibited, and the Company assumes no responsibility whatsoever, including responding to any inquiries from anyone other than the shareholder.

The duration of the free period for the received coupon may not align with the number of shares you hold.

As of the end of September 2023, we set and provide the free period of the coupon based on the number of shares registered under your name in the shareholder registry. Please note that shares purchased under a different name or through margin transactions, etc., will not be counted or consolidated into the number of shares held under your name.

The deadline to start using the 2024 shareholder benefit coupon is the end of September 2025, so please redeem it after your existing ""ABEMA Premium"" plan expires."

Can the coupon be used with my current ABEMA free account?

Yes, the coupon can be used with an ABEMA free account. Please follow the steps described in the "Instructions for Use.

I am currently using the ABEMA Premium free trial. Can I use the coupons during this period?

Coupons cannot be used during the free trial period. If you are in the free trial period, you must cancel your ABEMA Premium trial before using the coupons. Please see the cancellation procedure below.
How to cancel ABEMA Premium (Japanese)

Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 2 days ^*1 of joining ABEMA Premium (Free Trial)^*2. Please make sure the viewing plan displayed on your My Page is set to ""Basic"" before redeeming the coupon.

Can I use the coupon if I am already an ABEMA Premium member?

Current "ABEMA Premium members cannot use the coupons. To use the coupon, you must first cancel your ABEMA Premium membership. Please see Q13 for details on how to cancel.

When I manually entered the coupon code, it displayed an input error and I could not register the coupon.

Check to see if you are reading numbers as letters (or vice versa), such as 0 (zero) and O (letter "O"). Other common mix-ups include D and 2; Z and 5; S and 6; and G and 8.
You can also use your smartphone to scan the QR code printed on the coupon. This will automatically enter the code for a smoother experience.

You may not have logged in with the email address you used to register the coupon. Please double check that you are using the correct email address and try again. See Q25 for information on how to check your email address.

Occasionally, errors may occur when loading from a QR code reading app, so we kindly ask you to read it from the standard camera of your device. This also applies to the code reader located within the Control Center on iPhone.

I applied my shareholder coupon code. However, my premium subscription is stated as monthly on my page. Is this correct?

The plan is written monthly because the ABEMA Premium Service is renewed each month. Please check an expiration date as it will be set according to your benefit duration. (3 months or 12 months)

Can I use the coupon immediately after canceling my ABEMA Premium plan?

The coupon cannot be used immediately after canceling ABEMA Premium. Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 1 month of joining ABEMA Premium. Therefore, you will only be able to use the coupon after your viewing plan has been changed to "Basic". Because the date and time for which the coupon can be used depends on your plan subscription date, please check the expiration date of your ABEMA Premium plan on your My Page.

If I want to use a coupon, by when do I have to cancel my ABEMA Premium subscription?

ABEMA Premium subscriptions must be canceled at least 24 hours before the expiration date.
Please keep in mind that your subscription will be automatically renewed if you cancel too late. Cancellation procedures vary depending on the payment method registered. See below for more information.
