Two of my guilty pleasures, which are very different from one another:
*"In Da Club" - 50 Cent
*"You Light Up My Life" - Debby Boone
There are also a couple of Christopher Cross (not to be confused with Kris Kross - which kind to think of it I kind of liked "Jump Jump") songs I also like.
It's soooooo embarassing I actually feel sorry for the guy. And no, I don't like it. I thought I heard a toilet flush on the vid of his reputation and legacy going down the toilet
Heard this via Pandora. I don't know why I like it. I Looked up the artist on YouTube and she defines this as "pop for pop music snobs." No fancy YouTube video here, just a soundcloud link:
"Play the Game" - Lilly Wolf

I swear I'm not a hipster. I think this is one of those b-side songs that you listen to when it comes up after you've overplayed the more aggressive stuff/majors songs that aren't even related to this category. If you ask me if I like this song in real life, I will deny it.
A whole bunch of us were going to lunch and a movie for a friend's birthday. The elected minivan mom was the designated driver to pick us all up after dropping off the kids. There were 12 of us in her minivan when I noticed she had this children's music playing and it was loud. Another friend said that's not the most embarassing part - she dropped the kids off 40 minutes ago.
When you have kids, you end up learning the lyrics to a lot of songs you never wanted to hear. But they stick in your head whether you like it or not. If I hear a Katy Perry or Taylor Swift song, I often catch myself singing along with it unconsciously.
Oops. Posted the wrong song. This is...embarrassing. The song I meant to post is "Disaster" by Lilly Wolf, not "Play The Game." Both come up in the random rotation and aren't my usual tracks, so I will just go with that as my excuse for the error .
Setting the record straight with the right song (it's more catchy than the other one anyway ):
