There just may be a couple of disco songs I can listen to without wanting to hurl the radio through the window: Disco Inferno, and maybe Boogie Oogie Oogie. The rest of it is dreck, although a lot of disco songs had great bass lines, I can say that much for them.
Oh, yeah, and Miss You by the Stones. I do hope their tongues were poking through their cheeks when they recorded that one.
I was FOUR when this song came out. But I remember dancing with my sister who was then 14 while wearing her old dance competition costumes. Good times.
I'm totally jammin' out, right now!
....wont you take me to....funkytown?

Ha! My memory of that song, at 14, was observing many, many participants making collective asses out of themselves at a roller rink, wearing skates with sneakers on top of them. I was wondering what was happening in the country I was growing up in!
