I would like to start by pointing out that this preschool offers something no other preschool I know of does - weekly swim lessons with trained staff members at Maki Swim, which has been a neighborhood institution for years.
Thechildren eagerly running in at drop off and being sad to leave is a testament in itself. My son is enrolled 3 days a week and the days he's not at school, he asks to be.
The outdoor play area is beautiful and full of fun activities, I love how all of said activity centers and structures (teepee, playhouse, swings and many more) are set up with the intention to promote team work, sharing and inclusive games. The area is very green and they are working on a school garden come the warmer months. The kids absolutely love outside time - which they get plenty of!
Inside - the cozy, newly remodeled classroom holds heaps of Montessori activities, puzzles, sorters, toys, books and everything the kids could ever want or need. It's set up as a home with all the conveniences and comforts, which instantly puts the kids at ease and makes them feel very safe and welcome.
Ms Maggie makes each school day an adventure. She ensures that while the activities are child-led, they are also structured, developmental but fun and hands-on throughout the day, be it indoor or outdoor.
