I provide safe, loving care for 2-3 children in my home. I have three children of my own (school-aged). I home-school my independent 10-year-old so have him with me all the time. My prior work experience is in the social work field and in college Student Development. Lots of reading books, freeplay, dress up, pretend, drawing, listening to music, playing outside or going for walks, playing games, visiting with friends. I believe kids need to use their imaginations, and I facilitate this through providing creative toys for free play and organizing structured activities as well. I like a busy, happy, lived in feel in our home. We live in a quiet neighborhood, have a fenced-in backyard with a swing set and toddler/preschool aged play equipment, and are in walking distance of two parks. We do not have any video gaming systems in our home, and TV viewing/iPad time is very limited. We are a pet-free, smoke-free home with no adult TV viewing during the day. Cleanliness, health, and safety are priorities in my home. I have a valid driver's license and current Child Abuse and State Police Clearances. Rates are $5-$15 an hour. I do follow federal and state tax laws so you might be able to claim the Child Care Tax Credit. First interviews are held in a public location for the safety of my family.
