Space-available travel is a privilege available to military members and retired servicemembers. Essentially, it means eligible passengers are allowed to "catch" free transport on certain military flights, mission and space availability permitting. 

Forbes Field Passenger Agents want your travel to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The following information on the local area is provided to assist you. BE ADVISED, FLIGHTS OUT OF FORBES FIELD ARE INFREQUENT AND NOT ROUTINE. WE DO NOT HAVE "REGULAR" FLIGHTS TO ANY ONE LOCATION. WHEN WE HAVE FLIGHTS WITH SEATS AVAILABLE, THEY WILL BE ADVERTISED. Information

To sign up for Space Available travel you will need the following: 

-Active Duty Military/AGR: Common Access Card (CAC) and approved leave form

-Guard/Reserve: Common Access Card (CAC) & DD Form 1853 

-Retirees: DD Form 2 (Blue ID) 

-Dependents over 10: ID Card (DD Form 1173) 

-Dependents under 10: Birth certificates & Social Security Number

-Passports for all those requesting travel overseas with the exception of active duty members stationed overseas. (Dependents of Active Duty Military stationed OS require passports) 

Family members of Active Duty and Retired members must travel with their sponsor unless they meet the following criteria. 

- Sponsor is deployed for 30 days or more - (Bottom of Category IV )
- Sponsor is deployed for 365 days or more - (Bottom of Category III) 

***Deployed family members must have a letter (Command Sponsorship)authorizing travel stating deployed Sponsor's dates. Contact your nearest Passenger Terminal for additional information. 

Pets are not allowed on Space-A flights. 

Sign-up available in person at the Forbes Field Passenger Terminal.

In addition, people can download an electronically alterable sign-up sheet from the 190th ARW Website or via the Air Force Portal, fill it out and send it via e-mail to 190ARW.LRS.SpaceA@us.af.mil

All flights are subject to change due to weather, maintenance and operational requirements.
