I’m annoyed to report that tumblr has removed #howtogrowthefuckup. Claims I was using the account for spam, despite not posting in over a year. I spoke to “support” to try to dispute this and they told me there’s no way to get back deleted content, regardless of the reason.
Some of the guides are still available at archive.org and I’ll think about uploading to my personal site. I haven’t done anything with HTGTFU in a long time because t*mblr is such a toxic environment, but I knew it was okay to leave because the guides still existed and helped literal tens of thousands of people. I’m thankful I was able to help so many in the last 7 years. I don’t really have any better way to get the word out than this, since the site is just…gone. If HTGTFU was important to you, please spread the word to those who need to know. Love you all ⭐️

I have a client who communicates exclusively via Microsoft Word.
If she has something to tell me, I’ll receive an email with nothing in the body, but a Word doc attached. That’s where she writes her message.
Whenever she wants to email me a photo, she does so via an empty Word doc with said photo set as its background.
But my favorite thing was the first time I witnessed her visiting a website. She had me spell the URL (“W… W… W… dot…”) and with my own two eyes I watched her type it into Word, made it a hyperlink, and Ctrl click it to go there.
I was so fascinated I didn’t even say anything.

It changed dramatically during 2014. That’s the year I moved to NYC and started grad school and everything. That’s the year I finally got to hang out with you guys in person.

Arya is there, and she has twelve direwolves puppies that cause mischief. At some point, the whole north is like “There Must Always Be A Stark In Winterfell And It’s Fine If She’s A Lesbian”

me: Episode Three starts with Sansa standing by her window, watching a pack of giggling small children have a snowball fight. She looks cold, austere. She watches Arya fucking pile-drive a six year old into a snow bank. Sansa’s lip quirks. She is Healing. The plot of this episode is dealing with mice in the grain supplies. Sophie Turner is nominated for seven emmys in one season.
