The Transformers
- A slot car set that included two transforming race cars, Natron and Freezon who can ride on the track in either car or robot mode. The two cars were also available separately from the track set, as they were interchangeable with any other Tyco-produced track. The set advertises Nite-Glow- special glow-in-the-dark track stickers and plastic guard rails Tyco implemented in many of their slot car sets. Natron and Freezon both have bodies made of glow-in-the-dark plastic, mainly visible in their robot modes. Natron and Freezon were both also sold individually on cardback, without the track or their controllers.
- The Electric Train and Battle set was a fully-functional Transformers-themed HO-scale electronic train set, released alongside other licensed train sets of similar design produced by Tyco at the time, which this set shares some parts with. The engine and three train cars featured simple transformations into communication and weapon stations, or in the case of the caboose, a bird-like robot. The set includes a 4½-foot by 3½-foot "action mat", depicting a "desert power station" as well as cardboard structures and 24 non-transforming robot figurines, representing both Autobots and Decepticons.
Notes
- Tyco is now owned by Mattel, Hasbro's chief rival in the toy industry. The name is currently used for Mattel's R/C car division.
