Yup.

A woman of very few words, Dia Cinders is Burn Out's human pilot. Since Burn Out's personality is based on her own, the two argue constantly. It oftentimes comes to the point that Dia turns off Burn Out's voice commands in order to be more effective in the field. She is especially good at sharpshooting, possessing pin-point accuracy.

Fiction

TransTech

Born in 1982, Dia spent a life knowing nothing but the Diaclone project, which began in the same year and for which she was named. Dia's ambitions eventually came to fruition when she became the mech pilot of Burn Out. BotCon 2015 Burn Out profile card

Dia and Cline wound up in Axiom Nexus, where they passed as Cybertronians thanks to their mech suits, Burn Out and Lift-Ticket. They sought out a highly evolved Waruder nest deep underground. Following the Waruders' signal, they encountered a group of wanted criminals, and fled upon seeing them. Cline and Dia met up with the group once more when they found themselves in the middle of a battle between Waruders and Cybertronians. Revealing that they had been tracking the Waruders hive, the humans joined their new allies in battle. They were shortly thereafter joined by General Optimus Prime and Sergeant Hound, who pooled their efforts towards the fight against the Waruders as well. Sergeant Hound was particularly impressed by Dia/Burn-Out's aiming skills during the battle's course. The Lift-Ticket armor took a severe strike, prompting Cline to exit the mech. Dia/Burn Out defended her now-vulnerable ally as the Waruder invaders kept on swarming them. The battle came to an end when C-81 took the Waruders' leader hostage, and began negotiations with the critter. The Waruders were convinced to migrate to a different Cybertron via an interuniversal gate, bringing the fighting to an end. Dia later conversed with Sergeant Hound, noting that she hated the whole concept of "quantum" when it was revealed that the Waruders had arrived in Axiom Nexus 20,000 years in the past due to quantum instability. BotCon2015toy-Dia.jpg
  • General Optimus Prime / Sgt. Hound (Deluxe, 2015)
A BotCon 2015 exclusive toy, Dia is a redeco of Generations Caliburst in colors homaging the Diaclone pilot figures, transforming from armored humanoid into a triple-barreled gun. In gun mode, she can combine with the various iterations of the Holepunch mold (notably her mission partner Cline) to form a super-rifle, with either one forming the "front" part.
Despite being the "pilot" for Burn Out, she and Cline were actually packaged with Sgt. Hound, who in turn was available only in a 2-pack with General Optimus Prime. This set was an at-the-show "souvenir" set.
This mold was also used to make Adventure Targetmaster, and Combiner Wars Singe and Zputty.

Masterpiece

So with Senatorcrosscut and now Dia Burnout, what's next? Quantumoperativescreech? (Yes please)
  • Dia Burnout (Masterpiece, 2023)
  • Hasbro name: Autobot Burn Out
  • ID number: MP-53+B
  • Release date: March 25, 2023
  • Accessories: "Turbo Cannon", "Concussion Leveler" w/ missile, "Pulse Rifle", "Double Laser Caster", Motocompo attaché drone, "ghost pilot" figure
Masterpiece MP-53+B "Dia Burnout" is a new-head retool and redeco of MP-53 Skids, transforming into a Honda City Turbo featuring opening front doors, an opening hood with engine detailing underneath, an openable rear storage trunk (more on that in a bit), and a basic interior capable of fitting one of the posable Masterpiece human figures. The new head is based on the original Honda City Turbo Diaclone toy's head, rather than the cartoon model from Skids.
She comes with a slew of accessories: the cartoon-based blaster accessories from Skids (the Turbo Cannon and Double Laser Caster), the toy-based weapons from Reboost (the Pulse Rifle and Concussion Leveler), as well as Reboost's Motocompo scooter. In robot mode, each of the weapons can either peg into the top of the forearms like the original Skids toy (with the Pulse Rifle having a flip-out handle she can grip), or on the outer sides of the forearms via dedicated slots. Unfortunately, it is not possible to equip her with all four weapons at once, as the side-mounting clips will interfere with the top-mounted weapons. The Motocompo can also seat a Masterpiece human figure, but the wheels are fixed so don't go zooming it around.
Her vehicle-mode trunk is designed to store the Pulse Rifle and Concussion Leveler securely, as well as either the Motocompo (once its handlebars have been folded away) or the remaining two guns, though none of these are secured in any way, but the fit is tight enough that they don't rattle around much at all. You're not getting everything in there, sorry.
She also comes with a "ghost pilot" figurine representing the discorporate Dia, a translucent-orange redeco of MP-44's Carly figurine, which can also pilot the aforementioned drone. However, care must be taken as she has numerous tiny balljoints, like head-of-a-pin tiny, and it's very easy for her limbs to pop off.
Finally, she also comes with a bonus sheet of optional stickers, featuring a large Autobot insignia and a Generation 2 Autobot insignia for her hood, and a small original Autobot insignia to put on the Motocompo.
Dia Burnout was revealed on August 9, 2022, with pre-orders opening the next day. She began shipping in late March of 2023.

Notes

  • Dia is loosely based on Sasha Kaidonovsky, the female co-pilot of Cherno Alpha from Pacific Rim.
  • Dia was originally conceived without a surname. The 2023 Masterpiece release of "Dia Burnout" granted her the "Cinders" surname in its bio.

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Dia Cinders (ダイア・シンダーズ Daia Shindāzu)
