Brian Rood (born September 7, 1975 in Toledo, Ohio) is a freelance illustrator. As well as painting Transformers comic covers for IDW Publishing, he has created packaging art for Hasbro's Transformers and Star Wars lines. Star Wars is a franchise he has done a particularly large amount of art for, both for Lucasfilms, and for its many licence holders. Since 1995 he has run his own art studio, B. Rood Illustrations. He has provided artwork for many projects, including trading cards, posters, concept art, and lithographs. He's also well known for his fine art, his favorite topics for which are pin-ups and famous entertainers. A selection of his art was printed in the 2003 book The Art of Brian Rood. He currently lives near Detroit.
