As part of Cheetor's trials to determine the owner of the AllSpark, he procured the Chopper Cut from parts unknown through a GroundBridge for Megatron's use. The Allspark turned the helicopter into armor for him, which he used to fight Optimus Prime and his own jet-themed upgrade. This lasted until Starscream managed to steal the Allspark, causing the armor to lose its power and fall off. Trials The Chopper Cut was later seen in its original form and in the cave it was left in as Starscream remarked that it wouldn't fit Sky-Byte, as he was already the undisputed predator of the skies. Toys

Cyberverse

  • Megatron (Elite Class, 2019)
  • TakaraTomy name: Battle Rotor Megatron
  • TakaraTomy release Date: October ??, 2019
  • TakaraTomy ID number: TCV-19
  • Accessories: Cannon, "Chopper Cut" Spark Armor
Part of the first wave of Cyberverse Elite Class toys, the Chopper Cut is an almost Voyager-sized helicopter with a free-spinning rotor which unfolds into "Spark Armor" when attached to a compatible figure. When flipping down the piece with the alternate head while attaching the Spark Armor, a spring-loaded gimmick is activated causing the propeller to spin and two additional arms to flip out, one with a built-in mace and the other you can attach the included Fusion Cannon to. This configuration causes the original robot arms to dangle awkwardly at the sides, but this can be remedied by bending the arms at the elbows to a 45-degree angle and rotating the lower arms until the fists point straight towards the back, streamlining the look of the armored robot mode.
It was only available packed in with Megatron.
In November 2019, TakaraTomy Mall released Megatron (and Grimlock) as a Cyberverse "Christmas Set" offer.

Merchandise

Cyberverse Burger King toys 2019.jpg
  • Megatron (Burger King kids' meal toy, 2019)
  • Accessories: Rotor blade
Part of Burger King's Cyberverse promotion, this take on Megatron is a non-transforming figure that also looks rather reminiscent to his Elite Class toy, with the inclusion of purple Chopper Cut armor and a detachable propeller on his back. His hips and arms are articulated, making him the only one of the four Cyberverse Burger King figures with all three points of articulation being independently available.

CV-toy McDonalds Megatron 2019.jpg
  • Megatron (Happy Meal Toy, 2019)
  • Accessories: Helicopter/armor
Released as part of the second McDonald's Happy Meal promotion for Cyberverse (released a mere month after the Buger King promotion), this Megatron is a 4-inch-tall non-transforming figure with articulation at the hips and arms. As an Action Master-esque play feature, he includes a small helicopter reminiscent of the Chopper Cut, albeit in grey rather than purple, that can be separated from its propeller and reattached into various pins around his body as weapons or pieces of armor.
