Opened in 1950. Tomiya Amae, who had a wide variety of hobbies, opened the first Robata. Artist Taro Okamoto, actor Tatsuya Nakadai, and others frequented Amae, where they interacted with each other and enjoyed cultural discussions. The style of having a hearth in the center of the room and surrounding customers is said to be the origin of robatayaki restaurants in various regions. It was famous that Amae, who was called ``On-chan,'' would sit next to the hearth and present tokkuri with a long wooden spoon.
