Dainichidake Rest stop is a mountain hut-like station at the foot of Mount Dainichi, which is 1,709 meters above sea level. It is the smallest Rest stop in Gifu Prefecture. It is close to the exit of the smart interchange "Hirugano Kogen SA," which provides convenient access to the Takasu area, and can also be used as a base for sightseeing spots where you can enjoy nature, such as Botanical Village, Kiso Horse Ranch, Hirugano Marsh Botanical Garden, and Watershed Park.
At Stores, Soft serve ice cream made with fresh Hirugano Plateau milk is extremely popular. In addition, they sell dairy products such as cheese, as well as locally grown corn, cabbage, sweet potatoes, fresh vegetables and wild plants, carrot juice, rice, and other bounty of the plateau. Restaurants is also popular for its lightly tasting Hida Takayama Ramen with a seafood flavor. Medicinal Food curry and easy-to-eat panini are also recommended.
