FiftyThree is a product company that gets it. I can’t think of another company right now that is so well tuned-in to their product management: An undeniable focus on simplicity, consistently innovative interaction concepts, high-quality releases, synchronized marketing—it’s all incredibly impressive. Definitely looking forward to trying these new features out.
Really diggin’ this whole Material Design thing. I give it about a year or two until this level of animation polish becomes the standard for modern web apps as well.
Facebook has announced Paper, a new app for viewing and sharing stories—from both Facebook and other content sources. The app looks extremely impressive with rich animations, smooth user input, and a design well-tailored to small screens.
My only gripe at this point would be the app sharing its name with another iOS favorite.

Beyond the great looking app, the website has some excellent typography and copywriting.
Speaking of Passbook, Takahashi Alex has created some vector-based card templates and released them for free on Dribbble.
Fred Nerby has posted a design concept for Facebook on Behance which is receiving quite a bit of attention. I don’t love every decision, and the design on whole feels a bit in line with the recent MySpace redesign, but overall, the concept is well thought out and has some lovely details.
