Greetings Realmers!

Alchemist is once again LIVE! However, due to some issues with items, the team has put a temporary hold on releasing any new set items. Please stay tuned for updates about this fix and the return of our rogue set!

Additionally, please be aware that starting next week we will begin Database Migration. This does not have any impact on gameplay and will be very easy. It is necessary to keep our servers running. All you will have to do is log in and press "OK" before you can play. We will announce further details when the process had begun. Please do not worry, this will be quick, painless, and there will be no impact on your accounts.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we put a hold on current affairs to address vital issues to the game. We apologize we cannot be more forthcoming with details at this time.

Attention: New restriction on teleporting

Hello Realmers,

Today, we rolled out a controversial game change, I will get straight to it.

On most servers, you will now be unable to teleport to any non-guildmember for the first 3 minutes you are in the realm.

This is pretty clearly a change to combat event notifiers. This is the first step in a process to achieve this goal. We will take feedback, make changes and move forward. We are committed to this endeavor, and we know players may not like the new restrictions. We will tune and tweak, but we feel this is what is best for the game. The truth is, in order to fix this issue we are going to have to make unpopular changes.

It is also worth noting that any guild found with event notifier bots will be punished heavily. We do not recommend this. Don't get your guild banned.

Hello subjects of Oryx

I have worked on this game a long time as a dev. Moving forward you will see more of me in the community. I am really happy to be able to make quality of life improvements such as this one (mentioned below) and I am excited for the future of Realm of the Mad God!

Feature

Friends List (Beta)

• Accessible via bottom right friends button, and configurable hotkey
• Friends list shows offline and online friends
• For online friends, whisper and teleport options are available.
• New player menu option to add as friend
• This feature is not finalized. We will be fixing bugs and listening to feedback.

New Options for Friends List

• Enable/Disable - limit incoming trade requests to friends only. You can still initiate trades with other players.
• Enable/Disable - restrict whisper to friends only
• Hotkey to toggle the friends list modal

• Updated descriptions for "Ancient Spell: Pierce" and "The Forgotten Ring"

• Candelabra in the Oryx Puppet room of Puppet Master's Theatre are now destructible
• Friends list button has been moved to the right of the tabs and replaced with an icon.

Version 27.7.4 is now out!

Bug fixes

• Fixed an exploit that allowed some players to teleport with no cooldown.
• In the Friends List, the Teleport to friend button has been renamed to "Join Server." This takes you to the Nexus of the server your friend is playing on.
• The friends list filter by star option has been fixed.

Improvements

• Limon the Sprite God now spawns walkable tiles around loot upon death (like Archdemon Malphas).
• The HP Bar option will now persist across game play sessions like other options. No need to reenable it every time you play.

Release 27.7.5 is now live!

The Phylactery Bearer Set is now available in the Alchemist - a special and powerful set of equipment for the Mystic class. Equipping all four will grant additional stat bonuses and the look of the Phylactery Bearer. The stats for this equipment have been tuned to make it powerful, but also interesting and unique.

So how can you get this sweet equipment?
There will be a series of Alchemist events, the first of witch will feature the Soulless Robe, and Ring of the Covetous Heart. A new Alchemist appear every Thursday offering the other pieces of the set. Also dropping in the alchemist are seasonal items you may remember such as the Present Dispensing Wand.

Release 27.7.6 is now live!

As some of you may know, the Cursed Amulet of Zombification has been involved in a number of recent exploits. In order to combat these exploits the item has been made unusable. It will still show up in your vault, but if you move it to your character inventory it will disappear when you leave your vault.
