Opened another box of Spectrum. I have to say, in difference to hobby purists, I really kind of like this product. I don't believe I will buy a single box of Topps Heritage, because the old school look has never really appealed to me. I'm one of those people that always looks for the new and best looking things. I got the iPhone as soon as it came out, I buy nice things, I like to progress the artistic and technological aspects of cards. Someday, I want to pull a card that will display holograms of players in action. (Ok, that will probably never happen) But to continue to produce cards that look like old cards doesn't advance the art of card production. And I will also add this, I prefer Upper Deck products by and large over Topps products, and typically like the images on the cards and card designs much better.
Anyway, the video of the break is below, but here's the 3 hits from the box...
David Price Rookie Signature.
Kendra Wilkinson - Hugh Hefner's (ex) girlfriend from the girls next door.
After reading some sites on-line, I went to Wal-mart in search for 2009 Topps blasters that contained the code 1-825-50-13-9 and it just so happened that ALL of the boxes at the store had the code. So, I picked a few up, and here's the first box break.
Looked into my 2008 Bowman Chrome base set, and I am in need of the following cards... 3(brandon phillips),6(justin upton),22(dmitri young),45(tom gorzellany), 102(justin verlander),134(scott kazmir),141(zack greinke),148(troy glaus),181(derek jeter),185(carlos lee),194(joey votto)
My best hit to-date, was this Lars Anderson xfractor auto I pulled from the case of 2008 Bowman Chrome... Not sure yet if I'll sell it, or keep it. It's a great card, that I think will grade very well if I were to grade it. Well centered, great corners, quality auto. Hmm... I looked at sales on ebay and saw a graded 9.5 card bring in $225!
I just received a case of 2008 Bowman Chrome the first box I opened is youtubed below. I will get all 11 other boxes up tomorrow at the earliest. Interesting to note that of the 220 card set, I only ended up with 135 cards (and lots of doubles), barely over 50% of the set from 1 case! I will put up pics of the big hits later as well, but just know that the biggest of them was the Lars Anderson xfractor auto!!!
