Kenny Chesney Will Play Concert at Jordan-Hare Stadium

In October we're apparently getting Brad Paisley in Auburn (though not at JHS). I would have been thrilled at that a few years ago before he became a caricature of the great artist he started out as. Now we find out that Noted Auburn (and everyone else) Fan Kenny Chesney will play at Jordan-Hare Stadium on April 23rd with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt as part of the "Music and Miracles" event. It's a great cause, so I applaud that. I haven't been a fan of Kenny Chesney in years, though. Miranda Lambert might make it worth the trip, though...

The Magnolia Avenue Oak Tree at Toomer's Corner to be Replaced

t.co

According to an article by the Auburn Villager, the tree on Magnolia Avenue will be replaced. For those who drove by the corner before the intersection was closed for the renovations to the area, it was obvious that this tree was struggling. It is not dead, but it is not putting out leaves, either. Meanwhile, the College Street Oak is doing quite well. The third, "spare" oak that was brought when the two trees were replaced on Valentine's Day will not be used. The school is planning on going with a tree from a farm in Florida according to the Auburn Villager article.
