Two Rivers Aikikai is an independent, non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers dedicated to providing adults and teens with an opportunity to develop strong, healthy bodies and powerful spirits of equity through the practice of Aikido and Iaido.

Are you thinking of starting Aikido or Iaido in Portland?

Visit our dojo in real life to observe classes, ask questions and get a personal sense of the friendly atmosphere and the vibrant spirit of our students and instructors on the mat. You don't need to call ahead. There is no time like the present to harmonize your body, mind and spirit and improve your life.

~ Adults and teens can start Aikido classes every other month in our 4 week Beginner Session. Our next session begins Tuesday January 7, 2025. Click here for details.

~ Iaido classes are offered for teens and adults ages 16 and up.   Click here for details.

~ Our dojo is located at the corner of SE 30th and Belmont St. at 2950 SE Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97214.
Aikido is the only effective method of self defense that does not use violent action in response to violent confrontation. Aikido will help develop within yourself the power of compassionate, cooperative and peaceful methods in de-escalating and resolving conflict.

Iaido is the classical Japanese art of drawing, cutting, and sheathing with a Japanese sword. Iaido is performed individually, following structured movements and sequences.

We are not offering classes for children at this time.
