Statcast: x-stats to update
The x-stats will be refreshed overnight to reflect the lower run environment. (Entering the season, we based it on the average of the 2016-2020 season. Instead, we are basing it on the Apr+May months of 2016-present.) As you may have noticed, only one batting team has a BA that is above its xBA. When everything updates tomorrow morning, we should see several more teams. As May and June heats up, we expect the BA and xBA to come much closer. We'll revisit periodically if things get out of balance again.
