Statcast Lab: Time to 90 Feet Charts
?We recently released on all the player pages each runner's "Time to 90 Feet", with split times every 5 feet.
I have some explanations here, along with other links embedded there. When you go on Savant, you'll be able to add other runners to see how your player compares. In the example below, we have Hamilton in 2017 and 2018, as well as whether he was LHH or RHH. In all cases, it's 90 feet of running. Read the explanations for more. If you are familiar with the NFL and their 40 yard standard, then you can see how it's natural for baseball to have a 30 yard (or 90 feet) standard. Feet and seconds. This is how speed will be reported.
If you want to see the full leaderboard, well, this is really alot of fun too. And we also show the "home to first" times as well.
