El Presidente
I love Dennis Martinez, and this is an excellent interview. As an Expos fan, we were pretty lucky to go from Steve Rogers to Dennis Martinez to Pedro. Their individualized won-loss records while with the Expos:
30-4 Pedro
54-19 El Presidente (31-6 or 33-8 in 4 best years)
88-48 Rogers (38-8 in 4 best years; 30-5 in best 3)?
As under appreciated as Dennis was, I think Steve Rogers is a forgotten man. I don't know why Rogers' number was never retired by the Expos. One of the best pitchers of his generation.
