Clutch Viewing
I love extra innings when my kid goes to bed, I turn on the TV and I get to jump into the game in the bottom of the 8th, the game gets immediately tied on a gaffe, and it goes 13 innings. Doing my work, and having the ball game in the background, that's an ideal ball game.
To make that happen, I need most people to either watch the first 7 innings so keep the ad revenue up, or go to the ballpark and watch the first 9 or 10 innings before going home to get ready for work and school the next day.
I call that: clutch-viewing.? It's a skill. Not a repeatable skill. Not even a verifiable one. But, somehow, it's a skill nonetheless because, man, did it feel good to turn on the TV at that moment.
