Buying out your own contract
?This happens all the time in all kinds of enterprises. And I can see it in sports. For example, if Ovechkin wants out of his deal with the Capitals, he can simply agree with them as to how much he should pay them to tear up the deal and let him be a free agent.
MLB is going to make sure this doesn't happen with posted players. How they intend to do that will be interesting to follow.
