Fees
A probate fee may be charged for the administrative processing of the estate based on the total value of the gross estate. There may also be charges for additional services including, but not limited to, the following: additional Letters of Administration; plain, certified or exemplified copies; entering claims; entering caveat papers; and certified mail fees.
Below please find the complete fee schedule for the Registers of Wills. The probate fees apply to estates opened on or after October 1, 2022. For estates prior to October 1, 2022, please click HERE for the appropriate probate fee.
No fees are due on Small Estates even if valued between $50,000 and $100,000 with a spouse as a sole heir or legatee.
