Taekwondo was introduced to the Philippines through the efforts of Kim Bok Man and Young Man Park. The PTA is a member of the Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo Federation, Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee and Asian Taekwondo Union.
