Jayson Vemoa is the President of the Japan Niue Friendship Association based in Tokyo and has served as an Honorary Consul and Special Envoy to Niue in Japan. He is a former two time Muay Thai World Champion kickboxer from New Zealand of Niue and Cook Islands descent. He led a successful professional martial arts coaching career during the K-1 World Grand Prix and Pride Fighting Championships era in Japan.The list of people he has trained in the past includes the late Jonah Lomu, Hidetoshi Nakata, Noriyuki Higashiyama, Ray Sefo, Glaube Feitosa, Aleksandr Pitchkounov, Jordan Tai, Doug Viney, Ewerton Teixeira, Mark Hunt, and Jan Soukup.
