- Henry Bauchet was a French ingénier (1879-1970) and inventor. He was born on 22 April 1879 in Frevent, Pas-de-Calais and died on 19 December 1970 in Lyon. He designed and manufactured the first prototype of modern automobile, called "La Sirène" from 1899 to 1907. He graduated from School of Arts and Crafts in Châlons-en-Champagne and was one of the first holders of a driving licence in France. After a life dedicated to the automobile, in 1963, in Valencia, he was knocked down by a car, which left him with a slight limp. A street in Rethel is named after him. (en)
- Joseph-Gustave-Henri Bauchet, né le 22 avril 1879 à Frévent (Pas-de-Calais) de parents champenois et mort le 19 décembre 1970 à Lyon, est un inventeur, ingénieur motoriste et constructeur automobile français ayant participé et contribué à la grande aventure de l'automobile de la fin du XIXe siècle et du début du XXe siècle, ainsi qu'à l'innovation de l'histoire de l'automobile. Diplômé de l'école d'arts et métiers de Châlons-en-Champagne, il fut l'un des premiers titulaire du « certificat de capacité valable pour la conduite d'un automobile à pétrole » (à l'époque la voiture était au masculin) daté du 7 avril 1902. Il fut l'un des pionniers de la mécanique automobile et certaines de ses inventions qui se situent aux alentours de l'an 1900, avaient à l'époque de nombreuses années d'avance. (fr)
