Olmesartan/amlodipine, sold under the brand name Azor, among others is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure. It combines two antihypertensive agents in a film-coated tablet. It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin-2 receptor antagonist (ARB or A2A). The patent is held by Daiichi Sankyo Pharmaceuticals. Daiichi Sankyo filed a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for Azor with the United States Food and Drug Administration on September 17, 2008. Azor has been studied in clinical trials; one test showed it reduced blood pressure during a 24-hour period and was well tolerated.
