- Mark Edwardson (born 1967) is a former TV news presenter and reporter for BBC North West Tonight based at MediaCity UK in Salford. He is also a seasoned radio presenter having hosted the breakfast shows at BBC Radio Stoke and BBC GMR. He has since appeared in BBC One show DIY SOS and an episode of CBBC's Prank Patrol. Mark has also voiced roles in BBC Network Radio plays. Whilst at BBC Radio Stoke he won the Queen Mother's 80th birthday Trophy after being nominated by the Tidy Britain Group for a successful anti-litter campaign. In 2009 Edwardson was part of the Gold Sony Award winning BBC Radio Manchester news team for its coverage of the Rangers Riot in the city the previous year. Edwardson was the host at Venturefest Manchester in 2014 at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and then again in 2015 at Lancashire County Cricket Club at the Emirates Stadium in Trafford which attracted over 1,000 business owners and investors. The event organised by the Business Growth Hub however was missing their CEO, Richard Jeffrey, who was at the hospital where the news of an even more important event unfolded as they welcomed their newborn who was quickly named #venturebaby on Twitter.
