Maklamicin is a spirotetronate-class polyketide natural product. Isolated from Micromonospora sp. GMKU326 found in the root of Maklam phueak, it displays antibiotic activity against Gram-positive bacterial strains Micrococcus luteus, Bacillus subtilis, , Staphylococcus aureus, and Enterococcus faecalis.
