Kinged

Luke Ridnour was out to prove something last night, and he was successful, but not in the way he hoped.

Fresh off some somewhat stinging comments to the local media regarding his dissatisfaction with sitting in the 4th quarter of games, Frodo was given the opportunity to be The Man last night as Earl Watson sat out with a throat injury. How did the Young Duck react?

By going 2 for 10 from the field and scoring as many points in 33 minutes as Mike Wilks did in 15 (six). Oh, and did I mention he was -17 while on court? I didn't? Well, now you know. Or that the Sonics went on a 9-0 run when Wilks entered at the end of the 1st quarter? Or that they went on an 8-3 run when he sat in the 3rd?

Luke, feel free to test the free agent waters, because the tide is beginning to turn against you in this town.

hmmm.. so how does that crow taste Luke? Sour apples?

Luke of all people should not be shooting his mouth off about playing time, especially when this crappy team is finally starting to win some games.

Sad thing is I think this whole thing has definitely gone to his head, in a bad way.

That hurt to watch. Lewis ain't much of a defender either. I love how he let Bibby set a pick on him and Luke, allowing Artest that backbreaking 3.

The coast-to-coast steal and flush from Petro was nice tho'...

Luke's comments were illogical.

I liked what Bob Hill had to say about Luke; like the rest of his comments this year they were completely forthright and honest. The guy doesn't seem to have an ounce of crap about him. You've got to like that. Plus, when Percy Allen asked Hill what kind of whiskey he likes (Hill often says he likes "whiskey-drinker" players), he said Maker's.

The fact that Seattle's head coach not only likes whiskey-drinking players, he has own favorite type, well, that's about as good as it gets.

Of course you'd like him, Pete. He's a fellow sufferer of Premature Curmudgeonliness Syndrome. His sound bites read like quotes from an 80-year-old man who just doesn't give a f*ck. Simpatico.

Well, after the last few games I think Collison should start preparing for his new 'limited minutes off the bench' role. No way should he replace Wilcox as the starter.

Wasn't the issue with Fizer playing time - i.e. he wasn't going to get any right now due to the roster we have. I think they liked him, but Felix was a more versatile keep considering our current makeup.
