In need of a Goldilocks box

I am looking for a small clear box/case/bin with a lid, to hold a wooden puzzle that’s a family heirloom. The puzzle is a 7.5” circle, so an 8”x8” box would be ideal. Where can I find one of those? I am able to find smaller cases like these, and larger ones like these. But I'm striking out on finding sizes in between.

Requirements:
- 8 inch by 8 inch square (slightly larger is okay), 1/2 inch high (slightly higher is okay)
- clear material preferred

Have already searched various combinations of box, bin, case, project, storage, holder, and the needed dimensions.
Would appreciate any links, additional search term ideas, or even ideas of products that come in a box the right size that I could empty out and reuse for the puzzle. I am willing to spend some money to get the right case.

How about a 8 x 10 front opening shadow box?

A Ferrero Rocher Box is 8.5x8.5 and they're quite nice and should be rigid enough to store a puzzle.

'Lucite' or 'Acrylic' instead of 'plastic' seems to help search results. There's this on Etsy, and probably many more. (sorry, this is taller than you wanted)

Maybe something like this? Agree that 'acrylic' is a good search word.

If I can figure out how to make the back or fastener, I go to TAP plastics and either get them to cut me the appropriate pieces, or just build me a display case of the appropriate dimensions.

Yeah, I was thinking a shadow box, like this 8x8 as well. Or, on the cheap, buy an 8" tart from your local bakery and re-use the plastic tray and cover it comes in? Have dessert while assembling your puzzle.

Best answer: This semi-clear one's size is close: Low-Profile Box, 8-1/2" Wide x 8-5/8" Deep x 5/8" High (Compartment Width × Depth = 8 1/8" × 8 1/8")

Is your goal to display the puzzle, or just for storage?

Response by poster: Great ideas here! Appreciate the help with 'out of the box' thinking, so to speak!
I'm ordering the one from McMaster Carr to start with.

I happen to own two of the Ferrero Rocher 24-count boxes - if you're in the US and want to try them, memail me and I'll send them to you.
