Matt Kemp: Sure the rumors are running wild but whats the cost to the Mariners? Taijuan Walker if not James Paxton. Is losing a major piece of a future rotation worth the .287/25hr/89rbi that Kemp brought the the Dodgers last year?
Justin Upton: Unless a contract extension is signed I feel that this a move the Mariner's have got to stay away from. Yes Kemp is a plus fielder and a great addition to any lineup, but a one year rental even at the cost of a young arm like Elias does not add up.

Search hard and you'll find it difficult to find someone with a negative to say about Cruz in the clubhouse which with as many young talent as the M's have can be something of and unmeasurable attribute. They fact that young guys like Ackley, Seager and Zunino have a Robbie Cano or Nelson Cruz to learn from is going to prove as just as big a benefit as the inevitable long ball.
