Chad Beebe's season over after Vikings WR suffers foot injury, waived with injury designation
Aug. 31—The Vikings waived wide receiver Chad Beebe with an injury designation on Tuesday, and a source said his season is over.
Beebe injured his foot in last Friday's 28-25 loss at Kansas City in the preseason finale, and will have surgery. Beebe is expected to clear waivers, and then would end up on season-ending injured reserve.
Beebe has had a history of injuries since entering the NFL in 2018. After being called up from the practice squad midway through the 2018 season, he missed five of the last eight games with hamstring issues. He missed the final 13 games in 2019 because of an ankle injury. He was healthy throughout last season.
Beebe is the son of longtime NFL wide receiver Don Beebe.
