As we head into the third week of spring training games, we present Episode #003 of the Sodo Mojo Podcast! Join us as we discuss a slew of topics.

This week’s “Interesting stat of the week” focuses on the Mariners vastly improved running game. Do you like the aggression the Mariners have shown on the base paths recently?

We also dive into the latest group of spring training games from the past week. Now that games are on TV, who are we noticing (either good or bad) and are any player(s) impressing you? Are we concerned about the Mariners poor pitching performance of late?

We then tackle the epic opening round of the World Baseball Classic, including a brief discussion on Nelson Cruz’s game-winning home run off of Cleveland Indians star Andrew Miller of Team USA and his comments after the game.

As we begin our positional breakdown, why not start with the most intriguing group on the team? What do we think of the new outfield? Do we consider Mitch Haniger and Jarrod Dyson as upgrades or downgrade at each spot? And why? Somebody thinks the expectations for Haniger are a bit unfair. Why? Plus, what one word best describes this outfield?
