A fact from Capoeira appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 1 April 2017. The text of the entry was as follows:

... that the Portuguese government gave physical punishments to those caught dancing capoeira?

Trying to be simple

This is my first edit in simple English, so if I made any mistake, please point it out ok? I saw some historical errors so I had to correct it.

My first idea was to copy the article in normal English and simplify it, but I don't have knowledge to do that yet.
