Sing Buri Province
Sing Buri (Thai: สิงห์บุรี) is ane o the central provinces (changwat) o Thailand. Neighborin provinces are (frae north clockwise) Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri and Chai Nat.
Etymology

When the Burmese attacked Ayutthaya in 1765, eleven veelagers frae Bangrachan fought the airmy when it stopped north o Ayutthaya. They managed tae delay them for five month afore they wur finally defeatit, suin thereefter Ayutthaya fell as well. Annually on Februar 4 a ceremony is held in remembrance o these local heroes. This story wis an aa made intae a movie in Thailand.
Provincial tree is the Red Sandalwood Tree (Adenanthera pavonina).
