Abstract

An authentication server device allows a client device and a service server device to authenticate each other by using one-time IDs according to main seed data. The authentication server device distributes sub-seed data to the authorized client device and the authorized service server device. The authorized client device and the authorized service server device generate the one-time IDs based on the sub-seed data and perform mutual authentication using the generated one-time IDs. Then, data communication between the authorized client device and the authorized service server device is performed according to a certain application.
