UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ROBERT SCORER AND ROBERT HAM, OF TROY, NEW YORK, ASSIGNOR TO J. L. MOTT, OF NEW YORK CITY.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 5,394, dated November 28, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that We, ROBERT SooRER and ROEERT HAM, each of the city of Troy, in the eounty of Rensselaer and State of New York, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for Stoves, of which the following is a speoieation, referenee being had to the accompanying photograph, in Which- Figure 1 is a view of a stove, which embodies our said design. Fig. 2 is a view of the top plate and fender-rim ofthe same stove.
Like parts are marked by the same letters in both figures.
One part of our invention is the design for the body of the stove, composed of the sections A and B U, extending from cl to e, in Fig. l, and having the particular outlines and the peeuliar iiuted and beaded surface and a drop-door, f, as represented in Fig. 1, in combination with the ornamental design for the base of the stove, as shown in said Fig. 1. Another part of our invention is the design for the fender-ring G, as shown in the photograph. Another part of our invention is the design for the top plate H, as distinguished by the ornamented molded border i, as represented in the photograph. Another part of our ornamental design consists of the Word Flashf7 composed of letters shaped and arranged together in an are of a eirele on a raised tablet upon the border of a eiroular stove-plate so as to appear ornamental thereon, substantially as shown at j, in Fig. 2 of the aforesaid photograph.
The design for the base and foot of the stove, shown in Fig. l, is not new.
That We elaim as our invention is l. The design for the body-sections A B C, as herein described, in Combination with the design for the base of the stove, as shown in Fig. 1.
2. The design for the fendenring G, as described.
3. The design for the top plate H, as set forth.
4. The word Flash, composed of letters shaped and arranged together upon and forming a part of the ornamental design of a plate of a stove, as herein described.
