Abstract

A GPS device is installed on a mobile vehicle and the vehicle's coordinates and destination data are wireless delivered to a remote computer through the GPS communication device. The remote computer is installed a navigation server that can operates the navigation path and wireless sends back the navigation path data such as plural turning points' coordinates and turning information corresponding to each turning point coordinate to the GPS communication device and save the navigation path data in a memory unit. While the vehicle is moving, the on-board microprocessor compares the next turning point coordinate in real time and then outputs turning information to guide the driver to the destination. Using this invention, there is no need to purchase the navigation device and electronic map, so the on-board satellite navigation system is simplified and hence cost is reduced.
