Abstract
The invention concerns a magnetic separator, which comprises chambers 1, which are filled with a ferromagnetic filler 2, and at least two magnetisation units 3, which are separated from each other along the length of the chambers 1. Each magnetisation unit 3 contains a magnetic field source 4 and a magnetic flux circuit 5, whose pole piece is adapted to the surfaces of the housing of the chambers 1 and arranged to form a closed magnetic flux together with the ferromagnetic filler bodies 2 placed in the chambers 1. The present invention is characterised in that the ratio between the distance 1 between the neighbouring magnetisation units 3 and the diameter of the chambers 1 varies between 1:1 and 2:1, so that the magnetisation is equally distributed along the length of the filler body. <IMAGE>
