Claims (13)

at least one luminescent flexible filament,
an elongated carrier;
a plurality of solid state light sources mounted on the carrier, each solid state light source configured to emit light from a light emitting surface;
an encapsulant comprising a translucent material, the encapsulant at least partially surrounding the light-emitting surface of the solid-state light source;
at least one luminescent flexible filament comprising
an elongated reflector arranged to reflect light emitted by said luminous flexible filament, said reflector being arranged as a free-standing element and having a U-shape, a V-shape , parabolic, circular and combinations thereof, or other suitable shapes, to serve as supports for the luminescent flexible filaments. an elongated reflector comprising a longitudinal groove in which the luminescent flexible filament is arranged to serve as the reflector;

A lighting device, wherein said reflector and at least one said luminescent flexible filament extend longitudinally along a common path, said path being curved in three dimensions. 2. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said lighting device has a longitudinal axis and said lighting device is adapted to emit light rotationally symmetrical with respect to said longitudinal axis. 3. A lighting device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the path has at least one of a spiral shape and a serpentine shape. 3. The lighting device of Claim 2, wherein the path has a spiral shape with a central axis extending along the longitudinal axis. The groove is arranged on a side of the reflector facing away from the longitudinal axis, whereby the reflector is adapted to promote light emission in a direction away from the longitudinal axis. 5. A lighting device according to any one of claims 2-4. 6. The apparatus of claims 1-5, wherein the two legs of the cross-section have different lengths, whereby the reflector is adapted to promote light emission in a direction away from the longer legs.
