Abstract

PURPOSE: To damp transmitted vibration from a winding device and suppress secondary noises beforehand by filling sandlike particles into a winding device mounting member. CONSTITUTION: A winding device 5 of an elevator 1 is started, and a riding car 7 and a balance weight 8 are elevated/lowered by a switching operation of a normal rotation and a reverse rotation of a driving sheave 19. At this time, vibration generated from a motor 16 of the winding device 5, an electromagnetic brake 17 and a winding machine 18 is transmitted to a winding device mounting member 6. When this vibration is going to generate a resonance action according to a natural vibration mode of this mounting member 6, this vibration is damped by mass of sand-like particles filled into a cavity part 6a of the mounting member 6 and a friction action between these sand-like particles. Therefore, transmission of vibration generated in the winding device 5 to a building 2 is suppressed and secondary noises to other chambers is prevented.
