っている。従来この種のポンプとしては、電動機のロー
タ部分を、ステンレスの薄板のキャンで、電動機のステ
ータ部分から、気密に分離したキャンドポンプが使用さ
れている。この型めポンプの欠点としては、電動機ロー
タがポンプの作動流体中で回転するため、作動流体中の
固形物、腐蝕性液体などが、電動機ロータに作用するこ
とである。また軸受は潤滑油なしに、このような液体の
中で回転することが必要である。このため軸受にはセラ
ミックなどの特殊な材料を使用する。しかし短期間で軸
受が摩耗して、ガタの発生するトラブルがある。また、
ふつうキャンは、オーステナイト、ステンレス調のよう
な、非磁性ではあるが、電導性材料で構成するので、磁
