Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate a variation caused by a temperature of a focal distance of a photographing lens containing a plastic lens, by providin an automatic correcting circuit for correcting a variable of a focal distance corresponding to an ambient temperature, on an automatic focus controller. CONSTITUTION:A barrel of a photographing lens L3 is moved in the optical axis direction by pressure of a release button LB. A reflected ray from an object to be photographed, by a light emission of a light source LS is photodetected by an image position detector PSD, and output currents I1, I2 corresponding to a position of the luminance centroid are outputted. These outputs are operated by a position processing circuit PDC, and voltage V1 corresponding to a distance of an object to be photographed is outputted. On the other hand, voltage V2 corresponding to a position of the barrel depends on an ambient temperature measured by temperature detecting element TS, and in case of coincidence of the voltage V1, V2, the barrel stops moving. Accordingly, shift of a focal position due to change of an ambient temperature is corrected.
