Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an insulated wire having improved thermal aging resistance of a wire having large diameter conductor, by coating the conductor with an insulation coating containing tetrakis(2,4-bi-t-butylphenyl)-4,4'-biphenylene diphosphonite, and baking the coating.
CONSTITUTION: The objective electrical wire can be manufactured by coating a conductor (e.g. a thick copper wire having a diameter of 1.5W3.2mm) with an insulation coating obtained by adding (A) tetrakis(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)-4.4'-biphenylene diphosphonite to (B) an insulation coating (e.g. polyester coating, polyestermide coating, etc.), and baking the coating layer. The amount of the component (A) is preferably 1.0W3.0pts.wt. per 100pts. of the resin in the component (B).
EFFECT: It is excellent also in the adhesivity, flexibility, and flexibility after the thermal aging.
USE: Motor, transformer, etc.
