Abstract
PURPOSE: To neutralize and decompose harmful substances, e.g. agricultural chemicals, and restore the soil into good one, by purifying and processing a natural fossil shell containing calcium carbonate and carbon dioxide into powder, and mixing a modified substance consisting of the powder essentially into the soil.
CONSTITUTION: A natural fossil shell containing clacium carbonate and carbon dioxide mainly is pulverized, heat-treated at 200±15°C for 15min±10sec, purified and processed. The resultant modified substance is then mixed with soil to treat harmful substances, e.g. agricultural chemicals such as DDT or BHC, heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury or zinc, chemical substances such as drin, cyanogen or PCB, which are harmful to the growth of agricultural crops, by the adsorption, ion exchange, neutralization or decomposition.
