Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to drive a thruster motor only at the time of the starting of a conveyor, etc., by providing a retainer apparatus for a thruster brake apparatus wherein magnets are arranged that can be energized when breaking action of a braking means has been interrupted and a retaining apparatus is arranged that can retain a brake lever by the action of the magnets at a braking action interruption position. CONSTITUTION:A thruster brake apparatus which can be used in the case where brake shoe means can act onto a control drum integral with a belt conveyor shaft of a belt conveyor, is provided with a brake level 14 that acts onto said brake shoe means, a thruster motor (not shown) that drives fluid pressure generating means, etc. A retainer apparatus for this brake apparatus includes a frame 32 having magnets 33a, 33b, stationary cores 34a, 34b and movable cores 35a, 35b faced to the stationary cores. When braking action of the brake apparatus has been released, the magnets are energized to retain the brake lever 14 at a raised state through a horizontal lever 37 and a support lever 40, so that the released state of the braking action can be held in continuation.
