Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound in high yield by the catalytic reaction of propylene or isobutylene with O2 in hot gaseous phase using an inexpensive catalyst comprising Mo, Mg, Fe, Bi, Al, Ti and an alkali metal element, which has high activity and mechanical strength.
CONSTITUTION: Acrolein or methacrolein is obtained by the catalytic reaction of propylene or isobutylene with O2 in hot gaseous phase (preferably 250W450°C) using a catalyst having the composition of the formula (Aisalkali metal element; b=1W10; c=0.1W5 d=0.001W3; e=0.05W10; f=0.1W15; g=0W1; h=33.2W99, when a=10).
EFFECT: The reaction temp. can be comparatively lowered and the time can be shorttened. The objective compound can be prepared in high space time yield.
