Abstract

PURPOSE:To make repeat reproducing possible by recording information, which is reproduced from the first magnetic recording medium in one side of the cylinder, onto the second magnetic recording medium in the other side of the cylinder after fixed-time delay. CONSTITUTION:The signal reproduced by heat 16a provided on the outside circumfernece of cylinder 15 is delayed by time t1 required for rotation of cylinder 15 at angle theta2 and is input to head 16a' and is recorded on tape 18. Therefore, during movement of head 16a from point (b) to point (d), recording information on tape 17 from point (a) to point (c) is dubbed onto tape 18 by head 16a'. Assuming that theta3=theta2, recording information on tape 17 from point (c) to point (e) is dubbed onto tape 18 by head 16b' during movement of head 16a from point (d) to point (f). Thus, when cylinder 15 is rotated half, positions of heads 16a and 16b and heads 16a' and 16b' are exchanged to form tracks 23b and 24b.
